A QUILT IS A HUG YOU CAN KEEP.  Comfort Cases Event is Wednesday, March 4th 2026 from 10 - 4 pm.  We are collecting quilts and other donation items for @comfortcases as part of the Quilt Donation Drive. Comfort Cases are backpacks filled with essentials for children entering foster care - including a handmade quilt for comfort.


On any given day, there are approximately 437,500 children in foster care in the United States. Most of them are removed from their homes with little more than the clothes on their backs. If they do have any personal belongings, they are given a trash bag in which to carry them. Comfort cases supplies a backpack to replace the trash bag filled with basic needs and a blanket (quilt)


 Bring an item from the comfort cases Amazon wish list (you can purchase locally doesn't have to be on Amazon) and each item will count toward our grand prize drawing.

Join our FREE event 10-4 We'll provide all the supplies!

  • Bring your machine if it's easy or you can use one of our classroom machines
  • Make a block or a quilt top (they are small ranging in size from 30x 40 to 50 x 50 and will be just 2 colors.
  • We will be using Moda layer cakes to piece them perfectly or other simple kits!
  • We'll take it from there finishing the quilts and sending to Comfort Cases
  • Do you have a top or quilt already made? Bring it!
  • PS: Have you ever wanted to make a 2 color quilt? This is a great opportunity to learn a simple method while doing good for your community.


This charity sew day was originally scheduled in January but had to be cancelled due to weather. hope you can join us! We are planning 1 event per quarter! Last year, we sent items direct to Comfort Cases but also contributed a lot of quilts and items thru our Moda rep Tracy. In December Tracy and her husband personally delivered 70 backpacks, 139 stuffed animals, 50 quilts, and 40 boxes of toiletries, pj's and more to Comfort cases headquarters! Your support is so appreciated!
