DESCRIPTION: THE BIGSTITCH
I have not always loved handwork but after custom clothing design and now the Big Stitch, everything changed! This stitch is similar to what is used in Sashiko. Come learn this simple handwork technique that you will love to use, learn all the tools needed and work on a sample. After this class you will be able to get started on some small projects, wall hangings, table runners or mug rugs.
I will have a kit with some fabric sandwiches to get you started, or if you prefer, bring 2 – 14-inch sandwiches of fabric, batting and backing to create a sample. I use Perle Cotton #8 and thicker needles with large eyes like a quilting needle#5-7. We will have some supplies, and I will bring my Perle Cotton. Also bring scissors, your favorite thimble and a quilting hoop if you like. Hope to see you there!!
